100 Days Summer Mood - A creative Photo Challenge 2026

Photograph the mood of your summer

What comes first, the feeling or the photo?

This is a question we keep asking ourselves.

Do you see the photo and only then realize how you felt? Or do you want to express a specific feeling through images?

It’s fascinating to ask yourself this question, because it helps you understand both your photography and yourself better. Our Summer Photo Challenge is a great opportunity to explore this!

What if, by the end of summer, you had creative photos that capture the feeling of your summer days? Photos that show more than just what you saw.

For 100 days, photograph words that can’t actually be photographed, like barefoot whispers, bikini depression, or dream-dizzy. Then your intuition and creativity will have to step in.

The 100 words are an outlet for your creativity.

Like the gentle touch of a magic wand, they bring to life something that already slumbers within you, even if it can’t be seen.

The first step to more creative photos is simply to begin.

For the fourth time, our beloved 100 Days of Summer Mood Photo Challenge will start on June 1st.

This year with a special twist: the challenge will be international, featuring words from the Inspiralab community in German, Polish, French, Swiss German, Romansh, Arabic, Japanese, Finnish, Persian, Dutch, Turkish, Russian, Spanish, and Catalan.

We’ve translated the words into German and English, sometimes mixed them together, and created poetic neologisms from them.
